The reason I chose to create this booklet was that a powerful earthquake struck Japan in 2024, coincidentally around the same time I received the brief for this project. It reminded me of the record-breaking 2011 Tōhoku Earthquake, also known as the ‘3.11 Earthquake’. I was a child at the time, and I remember participating in donation drives and praying at school for those who were affected. Through the collective efforts of my community, I felt a deep emotional connection to the tragedy.
